Hunting Adeline ♥ My First DNF?

Hunting Adeline is the second and final book in a two-part dark romance series by H.D. Carlton and it has been a tough read for me.

Book one, Haunting Adeline, was a very spicy dark romance that I just couldn’t put down! The spice level was 10/10 in a pretty dark way that kept me on my toes wanting to read more. Hunting Adeline however, is full of dark situations that have me constantly ready to throw the book across the room.

169 Pages in and I’ve found myself triggered and nervous to keep going, which is a new experience for me. I’m torn between putting it down and moving onto something a little lighter or just pushing forward because OF COURSE I peeked at the ending to see how things turn out.

I would hate to DNF this book because THE ENDING OMG! but I’m definitely riding the struggle bus trying to get through it. This may be a book that I have to make my way through little by little.

I would urge anyone with this book on their TBR to take a good look at the trigger page and move cautiously from there. ♥
